- Comment: Since I already have a set of earphones that are very comfortable for me, and the usual earphones are either painful or just fall out or both, I wanted to be able to add a microphone and use it to replace the factory set that came with my iPod Touch. It works perfectly! Not only that, but the earphones and microphone can be separated, so when I am using Skype on my computer, my earphones go into the ear jack and the microphone into the mic jack, then when I use Skype on my iPod Touch, I just combine the two. Best of all worlds. The quality of the microphone is far better than the mic that came with the iPod touch, as my contacts told me the sound had definitely improved. I swapped back and forth between the original set and this unit (combined with my personal earphones), and they told me there was a noticeable difference. If you have earphones you are happy with, by all means get this microphone instead of using that horrible factory set.

- Comment: Within, the two halves of the microphone cover just feel off and I had no idea where it went. The built quality is really poor. Should take it apart first and super glue it yourself or tie a rubber band around it to keep it attach. ds

- Comment: My idea in buying this was to use my car speakers (via aux-in) to make phone calls. The problem with this application is that the Microphone does not cut off when the person I'm calling is talking, so they get annoying feedback. Just wanted others not to make the same mistake! Nothing wrong with the product itself.

- Comment: I was thinking this was a GOLDEN item because the reviews are all solid and glowing with greatness. This microphone simply did not work for me. By the looks of it, it appears that I have received a defective microphone - returning it will prove more expensive than just buying another, more respectable microphone. Another flaw is that the picture displayed for this item does not match the item that I received. Maybe I received the wrong microphone from the company.
